What's the story behind?
In 2020, while carving in the privacy of my cave, I didn't plan to show my art publicly. Thanks to psychology, the courage to present myself in different places, situations, and relationships, and the inspiring people who crossed my path, a year later I created an Instagram account (@art.pleasures).
My name is Magdalena. I graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź, where I developed my path in visual communication. Today, I work as a graphic designer and co-create a beautiful graphic studio with my close friend - MMNT Studio.
Lately, close people have been saying that I am more of a citizen of the World than of one place, but I am most connected to the very heart of Poland. A piece of my heart beats much faster somewhere in Sweden.

Form of meditation
II discovered linocut printing a few years after finishing art school, at a time when I was searching for something more tactile and grounding. From the very first cut into the linoleum block, I felt an unexpected sense of connection between hand, tool, breath, and thought. I found myself drawn to this meticulous, slow process, where every line requires intention and patience, and where there is no space for haste or distraction.
Carving becomes a quiet dialogue with the material. The rhythm of deliberate gestures, the subtle resistance of the surface, and the gradual emergence of an image invite me into a state of deep focus. It feels deeply calming to me, almost like a form of meditation, a practice of presence where time softens, and the outside world fades away. In linocut, I discovered not only a technique, but a way of being.

What is the art to me?

My art is not just about aesthetic sensations. It sometimes touches dormant inner particles to which there is no access, it opens discussions and awakens emotions. I invite you to this journey and warmly welcome you to get to know my artworks.
